O Mighty Ripple, O Ripple Gargantuan!

O’erwhelming the vast skies, deluging the past and the future,

Radiant with light, vigorous in life – what Ripple of Joy is this!

By It the sun, the moon, and the stars are impelled to oscillate,

By It is set forth the stream of consciousness that in me pulsates,

By It the very creation is made o’ercome, quickened, and swayed;

By It the bird in my heart is urged to sing!

Halt, O Mind! Amid this Cosmos Unbounded –

Inside this joyous assembly hall, on this day.

In His majestic glory, the King has ascended

His great throne in the heavens – the Ruler of the Worlds!

The oceans and mountains, the rivers and forests deep,

The sun and the moon and the stars, the mighty clouds in their fleet,

Are all singing sonorous hymns to Him that you must heed!

This cosmic festivity when the poet witnessed,

His mind fell into raptures, and it forgot all else.
